Built | 2005 | Huesca | Residential | The design focus on reforming an existing apartment in the last floor of a high housing building. Located in the small city of Huesca, near the Pyrenees, the penthouse had views towards the mountains, on the eastern side, and towards the desert on the western side. Nevertheless, these landscapes had remained always separated from one another inside the house.
The refurbishment consisted on liberating the center of the house and to propose a continuous community space, which also stimulates an easy way of life, more relaxed and turned to the outside garden terraces.
The new plan allowed to simultaneously look East and West. Throughout the day, the sun breaks through the house and caresses the stone pavement, first from the mountains to the desert, and then from the desert to the mountains.
