Built | 2010 | Barcelona | Education | The new Official Languages School is located on a high point of the neighborhood of Guinardo, one of those places distinctive to the city of Barcelona from where, without seeing it, you feel the valiant presence of the Mediterranean Sea.
The building had to be built rapidly to begin the new academic year on time. This immediacy seems to stay in the clarity of the uses and circulation areas and in the warm spontaneity of classrooms.
The school is related to the activity of the city and tries to participate with naturalness of the urban vitality of the area. The folds, protections, the materials and the overhangs are the result of this relational optimism towards the views, the city, the Sun, students, people.
